Clone a hierarchy

A clone of a hierarchy is a copy that contains all documents, result sets, settings, links to Dataflow, etc.

Note: All of the user/workgroup permissions settings are automatically copied from the source hierarchy.

In the Home tab on the ribbon, click the Manage Hierarchies button .

The Manage Hierarchies screen will be opened. Click the name of the existing hierarchy to be cloned, then click the Clone Hierarchy button on the ribbon (you can also right-click and use the context menu).

In the Clone Hierarchy dialog, enter the name for the new hierarchy.

Click OK to close the dialog and start the clone operation. The new hierarchy will appear in the hierarchy list.

To modify the hierarchy's permissions, select the hierarchy and click the Permissions button (see Hierarchy permissions).
